4th Grade Pop Art Emojis 😄

This week, 4th grade started creating their emojis for our Pop Art emoji, project! What's more popular than emojis right now?? Each day they've entered the art room, I've been getting oooh's and aahh's when they see what they're going to do on the board, and even 5th has been  asking when they get to do this! 

Here's how we created ours!

2nd Grade Painted Paper Owls

2nd grade created these owls out of painted paper we made on the first day of art! I saw these on the Painted Paper Art blog, and had to try them with our students! 

What's Going On In Art? 😊

Here's what's going on in the art room, this week! Kindergartners are learning how to draw along with Mrs. Stacey! 

1st grade is working on their Eric Carle inspired butterflies 🦋

2nd, 3rd, and 5th are still working on their Dot Day projects, we started last week. 

4th just started their Emojis today!

4th Grade Eclipse inspired Suns & Moons!

The Great American Eclipse was such an amazing sight, Mrs. Stacey was inspired to create these works of art with her 4th graders! Here's how we created ours!

4th Grade "Tie Dye"

4th Grade created these colorful artworks by using oil pastels and erasers! This lesson was inspired by The Art of Ed blog, and was a hit!

The Arts Give You Wings!

This year, Mrs. Stacey decided to do a photo backdrop for Night of the Arts, inspired by the murals of Kelsey Montague, Cassie Stephens blog, and the Smart Class blog!

Third through fifth grade used our painted paper we made at the beginning of the year, and each cut out their own feather, to create the wings. They drew their feather with Mrs Stacey, decorated it with patterns and lines, and then each feather that was completed was added to the wings. The students did such a great job, and the backdrop was a hit! Here's one of our sweet students standing in front of our beautiful wings!

So sorry it's been a while since Mrs Stacey has posted, friends! On Valentine's Mrs. Stacey and her husband welcomed a new baby into this world! Welcome sweet Sawyer! We love you so!
