5th grade Ring Pops

 




5th grade created these ring pops a couple of years ago, and it's been a staple for them in my curriculum, ever since! I got the idea from Katie Gray (@howgraythouart) on Instagram, and knew my students would enjoy this one! Let me tell you, they sure did! It' doesn't take a lot of complicated things either, so I was able to do it in my portable (that didn't have a sink for two years)

1st grade Eric Carle inspired seahorses

5th grade Jim Dine inspired paintbrushes





A couple of art classes ago, 5th grade started their Jim Dine and Lauralee Chambers inspired paintbrushes! They covered many art practices with this project, and I'm very proud of their results!

4th grade Robin Mead Landscapes



This week 4th grade is starting their Robin Mead inspired landscapes! She's a contemporary artist from Georgia, and you can check out her work on her website here! I was also inspired by the awesome art teacher, Lauralee Chambers, from her beautiful student examples on Instagram! Here's Robin Mead's Instagram too :) She has a Youtube channel too!

1st grade Catherine Rayner Crocodiles


The past couple of weeks, 1st grade has been working on their Solomons, which are inspired by the author and illustrator, Catherine Rayner, and her book, Solomon the Crocodile. I originally found this idea on Art Room Britt's blog! Here's how we created our own!

Art Rocks! 4th grade Gems & Crystals



Next week, after 4th finishes their Aurora Borealis pictures we've been working on, we'll start this rockin' watercolor project! This artwork is inspired by the art of Rebecca Chaperon  and the fabulous art teacher Miss Lee.
