3rd grade James Rizzi Cities!

Last week, 3rd grade started their first art project of the year, and they did a great job! We created our own version of James Rizzi's cities! I was first introduced to the art of James Rizzi through the amazing art teacher, Cassie Stephens. She has her own James Rizzi lesson here. James Rizzi was an artist who lived in New York City, and was inspired by the city and people around him. You can view more of his art by clicking on his name!

Here's how we created our works of art!

Kindergarten Snowy Cities

We're dreaming of a white Christmas around here, and are in snowy project mode! I found this one years ago, on Deep Space Sparkle I think (but I can't find the original link) :)

Kindergarten finished their cool colored, wintry landscapes last week....

This was adapted from Art Projects for Kids

and we're moving on to some snowy cities!

Here's how we created them!

3rd grade Starry Night cityscapes

This week 3rd grade started their Starry Night cityscapes! This project was inspired by the awesome art teacher, Katie Allain. Her images on Instagram look so fun, and amazing, I had to try one with our students! Give her a follow on IG at @MrsAllainArt

Here's how we will be creating ours!
