Kindergarten & Pre-K Fall Tree Paintings

Isn't that little smile just adorable? He was so proud of his art, and the kids had so much fun making them!
This was Kindergarten's first experience with paint, and I thought they did a great job!
Here's how we made them!
I cut a 90lb 12 x 18" piece of paper in half. First, I demonstrated how to draw the grass and trees,
using Crayola Oil Pastels. Then, I showed them how to "dip & dot, dot, dot" with  my Crayola Tempera paint  & my  Royal Langnickel paintbrush
After that, they were ready to make their own!
Here's some sweet examples from today.

Here are some Pre-K examples too! (this is my first year teaching Pre-K btw)

YAM show 2022

Hi! It's been a while! Here's a little glimpse into what we did last year, and which art made it to our annual, county wide, Youth Art Month show. I've been in a portable without a sink for 2 years, and a crazy schedule, so I haven't had as much time to post on here or IG. Plus, sometimes I forget where I got these great ideas, and don't want to make anyone upset. Below, you will see I gave credit, where credit is due! Thank you amazing art teachers for sharing your awesome ideas with us, and thank you to my students, for all your hard work! I am so very proud of you 💖

1st grade Paul Klee Cat and Bird

Here's a 1st grade project we did a couple of weeks ago, and the kids really enjoyed it! It also worked well with being on a cart and following health protocols too.
We looked at the art of Paul Klee and then we created our own version by following along with me.
Here's how we created it!

Virtual Elementary Art lessons

This year, we've been teaching in person since August 31st, which has been great, but we've also been submitting lessons for our virtual learners too. Here are the 3rd grade lessons I put out this year. 3rd-5th, or anyone for that matter, could follow along with us!
Here's the links to the videos! Hope you enjoy!
